Story
Having trained for Manchester Marathon which was to be held on the 5th of April, rather than waste the training I have decided to run a Marathon with a difference.
With the current situation we are all living through with the Coronavirus pandemic, its seems a great idea to run a Marathon and raise money for our fantastic local NHS here in Banbury.
So for the event itself, with the rules of staying close to home, and living on Meadowsweet Way, I thought, "well we have a local green, why not run around it!"
I have measured the circumference of Meadowsweet green at 0.14 of a mile, so quick maths point to a mere 187.4 laps in total to get the 26.2 Mile Marathon distance!!
The run will take place this coming Sunday, Easter Sunday 12th April with a Start time of 9am.
Support and encouragement is welcome, just remember the social distancing guidelines that are so important...
Please, please, please, donate as little or as much as you can for our true local heroes on the frontline in our wonderful NHS.
