Story
Islamic Help Charity (www.islamichelp.org.uk) are building a community in Mafraq, South of Jordan, where a school and a Mosque are being built for Syrian families who currently reside in tents.
There are currently 40 children (boys and girls) who will be enrolling into the school and their resources and curriculum will be native to their homeland in Syria, with the hope that InshaAllah if/when they decide to move back home (post-war when it is safe), they can easily re-integrate back into society.
The school will be split into classes for boys and girls and religion (deen) will also feature in their studies. This fantastic project will help grow, educate and create the future generation.
To sponsor the school there is a running cost of £1,111 a month (1,000 JD/ Rs 50,000) which includes the following:
- Salary for 2 teachers
- Educational resources including books and other learning materials from Syria
- Food (breakfast and snacks for each child during their time in the school)
- Clothes (each child to be given new clothes and additional clothing during the winter seasons)
This is a great Sadaqa Jariah project in the memory of Dadi (Bibi Khatoon Takun) as deen and education were the two most important things that she advocated for. May the blessings of this project continue to illuminate all our hearts Insha Allah.
Once we raise the total amount, this will be transferred into the Project account in Jordan and therefore ensuring 100% of your funds go directly to the cause.
