This purpose of this page is to raise funds for the DAG2021 (Dovesdale Action Group 2021) to support the continuing fight against the Overwood Farm Incinerator being proposed by Viridor to be situated near Blackwood, Kirkmuirhill, Stonehouse and other surroundings areas which will impact all of our local communities in South Lanarkshire.

 This proposed development is adjacent to Dovesdale Farm near Stonehouse, the site of a previous application some 10 years ago.  The formal planning application has not yet been submitted but is imminent and Dovesdale Action Group are asking for your support by way of donations to help fund the ongoing campaign.

Please join the DAG2021 on Facebook page where we will provide information on the campaign including what you can do to assist in addition the progress of the application when submitted. The group have a constitution and committee, whose members are available to answer questions or provide information as required. The funds will be used to cover campaign costs (example of typical costs below) and the costs of any professional advice or legal costs as the application progresses.

People power from Stonehouse and the surroundings areas fought the previous application with dedication, commitment and vigour and we need this same dedication, commitment and people power now more than ever to win this fight and safeguard our environment, our clean air. all of our communities and our families.
