Hey guys, I'm back fundraising!
This time I'm not directly raising money for a charity, but instead raising money so that I can go to Kenya as part of a teaching and construction working party in 2018 sent by Girl Guiding UK.
Obviously I can't just ask for your money, so in March I am going to be running the Bath Half Marathon and I'm hoping for a sub 2 hour time (secretly aiming to beat my dad's PB of 1hour and 34 minutes).
The total I have to raise is £2000, but I'm aiming to raise around £350 here. Any and all contributions would be very greatly appreciated, by both me and the school I am going to helping.
In Kenya, myself and 15 other Guides and Young Leaders will be helping in the construction of buildings for the school as well as teaching the pupils there English, basic maths and other primary level subjects. I hope to help positively benefit the lives of the children and the local community in general. I believe this is a genuinely amazing opportunity to help others get the education and facilities that I take for granted.
