In the summer of 2017, I will be joining a group of volunteers for three weeks in Madagascar. There I will be involved in multiple activities including going to the island of Sainte Marie, where I will be helping a local village community build a school and other essential facilities for the residents.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from and participate in the vital work of this conservation project and to contribute to the marine preservation and environmental educational programme.

The expedition will involve trekking through the jungle, river navigation and leadership work, all undertaken in a way that is sensitive to the local ecology and culture. With local animal habitats being under threat, the work carried out by these projects is fundamental to the preservation of local wildlife.

To raise funds for this trip, I have already sold hundreds of home-made cookies, written a cookery book (to go on sale soon if you want one) and organised a Christmas party. I am about to take go on a hike up Mount Snowdon in a few weeks' time and would be very grateful for any additional sponsorship you are able to give.
