Story

We at Warwick District Council along with Shield Environmental would like to support a colleague’s family to say thank you for the help they receive, raise epilepsy awareness and to help other children and their families benefit in this way too.

We are holding a charity football match on Friday 20th April in aid of The Daisy Garland charity.

Neil Bridges from WDC and his wife Bridget have a daughter Chloe who has a rare and complex form of drug resistant epilepsy. The Daisy Garland, a small charity support the family and funded an essential night time SATS monitor to aid keeping Chloe safe at night. This was a lifeline at the time her condition spiralled out of control having 300 seizures a day including life threatening seizures.

The Daisy Garland charity not only funds sleep and sats monitors for children with complex epilepsy. They also provide welcome starter packs for children on the medically controlled Ketogenic diet, which Chloe is on under Great Ormond Street Hospital to help to try and manage her condition. They also provide an essential advice and support forum for families on the medically controlled ketogenic diet and those living day to day with complex epilepsy.

Any support and donations most welcome please. 💜
