Appeal for funds through the winter!
Please help us to feed and maintain our animals through the coming winter! With the poor Spring this year and the Beast from the East, many of the fund raising events that usually provide money to support the farm through the winter were cancelled or attendance much reduced. As a result we are already eating into our emergency funds.
We have fences and gates to repair, shelters to erect and reinforce and, of course, the weekly food and bedding bills. Any donation is most welcome! Thank you!
Daisy Mays, Elsenham is a not-for-profit farm with a difference, as it also provides a home for unwanted small livestock, small pets and horses. It currently houses coming up to 100 animals.
The farm is supported by (and always needs more) volunteers. (please help if you can!) It provides work experience for under privileged and disabled young people; runs a horse share scheme and a weekly pony club; opens each Tuesday morning for mothers and pre-school children and Saturday mornings for the general public.
Funds are also raised from the sale of eggs; homing baby animals or re-homing rescued animals as pets; sponsorship schemes for our animals; providing hands on animal experiences at school fetes and country shows; hosting children’s parties; hosting fun days; and group farm visits.
