I wasn't expecting to be home in New York for Thanksgiving! It's a silver lining to the pandemic but I will miss celebrating with my friends in my boarding house at Rugby. 

Whilst I am at home, I have decided to take part in a 5K Turkey Trot (for non-Americans this is a race or fun run for people looking to burn off some calories before their Thanksgiving feasts!)  I plan to run and raise money for Last Chance Animal Rescue (lcarescue.org). 

As many of you will know we are currently fostering Daisy, who was was rescued from a KILL shelter in the Carolinas. She drove for two days straight to get to us thanks to Last Chance Animal Rescue. In the beginning, Daisy was very scared and did not trust us. She was a bit growly and sad. We think she was badly abused. We showed her lots of love and she transformed into a loving puppy. She changed from sad to happy very quickly and now she is the sweetest dog ever, still looking for her furever home. It shows you what kindness can do.

This run is for Daisy and for all the other dogs who need to escape and be given a chance. Please consider supporting me - any amount however small - will be much appreciated. Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!
