About Daisy's Doddle
At The Alma Inn, Laneshaw Bridge, we're changing up our now famous Pub Walks over the next 12 months, raising money for Children’s Cancer Charities with Daisy’s Doddle Pub Walks.
Daisy is the niece of Paul, who leads our Pub Walks and last August, at just 16 months old, she was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma, a very rare eye cancer. She had her eye removed, and intensive treatment including chemotherapy. She has just been given the all clear, just before her second birthday and we at The Alma want to spend the next year raising money and awareness of Children’s Cancers.
We aim to walk 2,500 miles, and raise £6,000 over the next 12 months.
You can keep track of where we’re up to with our target on this page.
We will be raising money for:
Children's Eye Cancer Trust
Derian House Children's Hospice
Candleighters
Young Lives Vs. Cancer
How you can take part:
Join one of Daisy’s Doddles:
Our Pub Walks take place on the first Sunday of each month. The walks leave The Alma Inn at 9.30am on the first Sunday of the month and are typically 2.5-3hrs long.
You’ll get a free bacon butty (veggie available too) and coffee before you leave. There’s a great bunch of often over fifty people. The walk is free, but we do ask for a donation of £5 per walk, which will go directly to Daisy’s Doddle charities.
To join Daisy’s Doddle Pub Walks, there’s a £10 joining fee, payable before your first walk. You’ll get a t-shirt, that you are encouraged to walk in too. (We will post the link to sign up in the next day or so).

If you can’t join Daisy’s Doddle’s Pub Walks, you can donate directly on this page.
