Story

Manchester Depot of Algeco UK decided they would like to complete a challenge and also raise funds for charity at the same time. On September 17th/18th 2022 the team of 6 colleagues consisting of Damien Houseman/James Nash/Krzysztof Kosolowski/David Holt/Callum Harrison/Jake Nash will look to complete the National 3 peak challenge in 24 hours covering Ben Nevis/Scafell Pike/Snowdon.

Mind - A mental health charity is the main charity that Algeco are affiliated with and we wanted to honour this commitment.

Mind has helped a lot of people within the business and a variety of depots have organised charity events with proceeds going to MIND it is a great cause to give to and they welcome any contribution.

Ronald Mcdonald House is a charity close to everyone's hearts here at the Manchester depot.

'Jude is my son who is 7 years old. Jude has an extremely rare genetic disorder along with multiple complex medical needs he is on a ventilator and has a tracheostomy. We were in hospital for over a year. The support of Ronald Mcdonald House in such close proximity and been a home away from home was a sanctuary for us and Jude. Ronald Mcdonald House got us through some difficult times and this is one of the reasons I want to give back by raising the funds for this charity and all colleagues are onboard with this as thy have heard what it provided for us and some also have experience of the house' - Damien Houseman Site Manager Manchester Depot
