In 2017 a small group from Offwell Recreational Ground and Village Hall Charity (ORG&VHC)with some additional volunteers started fund raising for a new top of the range play park for the children of Offwell, users of the complex and children of the school to play in. There has been several events organised from breakfasts to bear hunts and evening quiz nights. To date a total of £19k has been physically raised with just over £3k earmarked by additional fund matching. We have now ordered the Play Park and have a final push to raise the remaining funds which need to be paid on completion of the Play Park. We hope to have the new Play Park ready to use by the end of Oct 20. Due to the current climate that we all so worryingly face, we are finding it hard to find ways to obtain the final monies needed by good old fashioned fund raising. We have decided to try crowd funding to complete our project and finally provide a new, safe and fun play park for the children that use the complex. Every penny counts and we are very grateful no matter how big or small a donation.
