Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
For the last 6 years I've been trying to join the armed forces. On the first attempt, I was told that I had to gain 4KG in weight before I could start training, which was hard to do because I have a high metabolism and would struggle to achieving. Fast forward a year and a half later I gained the weight needed and was filling an application form for the RAF. As I was filling out the form I decided to see if the entry requirements had been updated, and I saw that you needed a minimum of 4 years on your visa to cover the minimum service requirement. My LR( leave to remain) is about to expire and needed to apply for ILR(indefinite leave to remain) which cost £1, 685 for the standard application which was supposed to take 6 month for a decision and an additional £400 per applicant for a same day decision. My mum, myself and my brother decided decided to save £1,200 which we thought would give me 6 months to improve my fitness further. The application was made in April 2016 and its 2019 which is well over the 6 months stated on their site. We've emailed, phoned, asked our local MP and used an immigration lawyer, but all we could get from the Home Office was "The decision maker hasn't made a decision yet". Things are stressful as my brother and I haven't been able to work in 2 years because the Home Office has our passport and if we ask for them back, our application will be delayed further or reflected. I'm asking for help for the cost of the addition Al £400 per per application plus layer fees which cost around £150 per letter written. I really want to join the RAF and am tired of waiting.
