Story
On 24th of January 2024, we had to say goodbye to our beloved friend and colleague, Dan Bolton. Dan's encounter with pancreatic cancer was a heroic struggle against overwhelming odds, a struggle that, despite his immense courage and strength, he could not win.
Two and a half years ago, after experiencing chest pains one weekend, scans showed that Dan had developed stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Up until that fateful weekend, it would be hard to imagine someone healthier than Dan.
Since the diagnosis, and whilst undergoing ferociously intense treatment, Dan not only managed to be the standout performer across our entire business, he also continued to be a key confidante for all of our senior team as well as a wonderful father to his 2 young boys and devoted husband to his wife Helen.
Dan inspired everyone around him and everyone he met with his tenacity to fight incredibly hard despite this battle being one that he could never win, and he inspired all around him with his steadfast resolve to live every last moment that was afforded to him to the absolute fullest.
He will be very, very missed.
In lieu of flowers, any donations would be greatly appreciated. The donations will go to Dan’s family to help ease the financial burden of his passing, to Pan Can - a charity he was passionate about supporting and to St Mary’s Hospice who cared so well for Dan in the final stages of his life.
Thank you.
