Story

The Belsteads School opened this September near to Chelmsford, Essex. The school has a cohort of children with a range of special educational needs, such as autism and social, emotional, behavioural difficulties.

The children want to develop a rundown area of the school into a sensory garden where they can explore British flora and fauna, relax and learn the very important life skill of horticulture. It will give them the opportunity to grow their own fruits and vegetables to be used in cookery classes.

I will be doing my bit by taking part in a variety of different endurance events over the course of the year, these include multiple triathlons, including an Ironman 70.3 and a 10km swim to end the season in September.

The pupils are doing everything they can to raise some money themselves, from sponsored walks to bake sales. They are keen to get the ball rolling!

Thank you wholeheartedly for taking the time to read our story, the children and I will greatly appreciate all your support.
