Story

If you asked me what’s been the most extraordinary day on my ‘bucket list’ so far, I would have to say that it was the day we went Gorilla trekking. We were in Uganda, we hired a truck and driver and travelled from Kampala to the Congo border, to the Bwindi Forest.
The forest itself was beautiful, and we trekked with four rangers for over an hour before one of the rangers , who had gone ahead, signalled that he had found a family of gorillas.
We had been briefed the day before to stay down, not make eye contact and if one came towards you, you had to do your best to crouch back into the undergrowth.
With a certain amount of trepidation we moved forward and suddenly there they were. A silver back, two younger males, females and three or four young. It was one of the most humbling, moving and wonderful experiences for me.
The head ranger was a wonderful man and now a dear friend, called Gad (photo attached). Gad needs to buy more land so the gorillas have more space to feed. The photo which has been added is of a silverback feeding on the land which Gad is looking to buy for the Community.
We need 3000 US .
Please help us raise the funds and also why don’t you head to Uganda and visit Gad and see the conservation work that he is so passionately involved in. You won’t regret it.
