Story

Hi, my name is Daniel and I’m 15 years old. I’ve been given the amazing opportunity to attend the 26th World Scout Jamboree in Gdańsk, Poland in summer 2027, and it honestly means so much to me.

The World Scout Jamboree is a global event that has been running since 1920 and brings together Scouts from all over the world. Thousands of young people come together to share cultures, make lifelong friendships, and learn from each other. For me, this isn’t just a trip abroad — it’s a chance to be part of something much bigger than myself.

I have been in Scouting since I was 6 years old and started as a Beaver. I have progressed through Cubs, Scouts and I am now an Explorer Scout and Young Leader.

Scouting has helped me grow in confidence, teamwork, and leadership, and the Jamboree takes all of that to another level. I’ll be meeting people from countries I’ve only ever read about, learning how young people around the world tackle challenges, and taking part in activities focused on sustainability, community, and making a positive difference. I know this experience will shape who I am and how I see the world for the rest of my life.

Getting to the Jamboree takes a lot of team work,, resilience and fundraising, and I’m working hard alongside some of my fellow scouts to raise the money through events and raffles. Any donation, no matter how small, will help make this dream possible and will go directly towards travel, accommodation, activities, and equipment for the Jamboree.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and for any support you’re able to give. I would be incredibly grateful for your help in making this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity a reality. ⚜️💙
