My name is Daniel Castille, and I am currently facing the profound and devastating challenges posed by a recent diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease. This brutal journey has been incredibly difficult for me, but it has taken an even greater toll on my beloved wife and our children.

Due to the debilitating symptoms of this condition, I have been unable to work for several months and have found myself in hospital for extended periods. This situation has necessitated daily visits from my family, which has been both physically and emotionally exhausting for them.

I am reaching out with the hope of raising £5,000 to provide my family with the opportunity to embark on a holiday - a chance for them to heal together and recover after my passing. Earlier this year, we had envisaged a special trip to celebrate my 50th birthday, filled with hope for recovery, prior to my diagnosis.

With the unfortunate reality of a Motor Neurone diagnosis - a rapidly progressive and ultimately terminal condition - I find myself yearning for the knowledge that my family can create cherished memories together. It brings me comfort to think that, despite my inability to work and provide for them at this time, the first time I have been unable to do so in my life, they might still have this meaningful experience to support them through their grief and loss.
