Story
On the 22nd September 2018 I'll be swimming across the Firth of Forth in Edinburgh to raise money for a fantastic organisation that does so much to improve the lives of animals that would otherwise be in a very desperate situation.
PAWS Care and Rescue UK helps to fund and organise sterilization of stray animals in Mauritius a beautiful tropical country that has a huge stray dog population which grows by the day. It also helps tourists bring home stray dogs that they have fallen in love with whilst on Holiday to provide forever homes and the sort of domestic bliss these animals deserve. My wife and I bought our lovely dog Lady home after we'd been on Holiday and discovered the terrible fate that faces the stray dogs there.
We wouldn't be without her now and there are so many more that need your help, so please be as generous as you can afford to be to help reduce the stray population and to support the good work of the volunteers in Mauritius. Thank you.

I have recently discovered that swimming in open water helps fulfill my sense of adventure and gives me a good reason to keep swimming in the pool to keep me fit and well! I have realised I can use my hobby to raise money for great causes.
