I've raised £5000 to Euston Fire Station for 3 charities

We are going to cycle over 100 km from Euston Fire
Station to Brighton Pier. We are a group of around twenty mainly middle aged firefighters, many of us have not been
on a bike for decades and will be cycling on bikes that have been gathering dust in our sheds for many years. So for your regular cyclist out there this might be relatively easy, but for us it’s quite a challenge.
The Firefighters Charity provides physical and mental
rehabilitation to injured firefighters enabling them to recover and return to their valuable work. It also does other amazing work for people in the fire fighting family.
A close friend Vicki Homan who is fighting cancer will be leaving two children ( 7 and 4). The cancer is called mucinous carcinoma. It is a secondary cancer from her ovarian cancer from early last year. Because it is such a rare form of cancer there is currently no research into this particular type of cancer. It is not curable and she is receiving palliative care. The cancer has spread to multiple sites in her body and doesn’t respond well to chemotherapy.
The memorial garden - a close colleague of ours was
tragically killed a few years ago on his journey into work through no fault of his own, so we are creating a memorial garden at the fire station in his honour. Not only was he a dedicated firelighter serving at Euston Fire Station for
over 20 years he also represented his country as a bobsleigh driver and competed at the Olympics.
So if you could help us in any way to raise funds for our charities it would be very much appreciated.
