Story
Children in rural schools in the Huasteca region of Mexico have to withstand temperatures of 40 degrees while they try to learn.
Although education is free, schools are extremely basic and building is falling apart. Parents have to pay for all learning materials and contribute to the upkeep of the school. These are very poor families that already endure hardship in other areas in their lives.
These children spend up to 6 hours a day in extreme heat almost all year round.. Each fan costs £50. One fan will change the school lives and give a chance for a better education to 7 children now and in years to come. The project aims to buy 70 fans to fit them all around the school, for all the children to enjoy the benefit of normal temperatures.
