Story
In December 2017, thanks to our very generous circle of friends and family - and the friends and family of our friends and family! - we raised £260 towards a grocery shop for Southend Food Bank.
The quantities of good quality food and toiletries we were able to buy with your donations was truly staggering, and the staff at the food bank were touched by your support. While we were there, though, they told us that while they often get an influx of donations around December, by the spring they are often struggling to keep their pantries stocked.
Well, it's spring! So now seems as good a time as any to exercise good old British generosity and give what you can to help those individuals and families who could use a bit of a hand.
Please help us to match and exceed our previous fundraising efforts. We can tell you from first-hand experience that the staff and volunteers of the Southend Food Bank are kind and dedicated, and will really appreciate our support. Thank you!
