Story

This will be my 4th year of doing the 26.2mile Virtual London Marathon on 21st April 2024 for Pippa’s Army. We truly need your support.

I am one of the fosterers who care and rehabilitate kittens and cats in our homes, before going in search for their furever homes. Some furbabies arrive in an awful state and require expensive veterinary treatment. Others simply need love following dreadful experiences at the hands of some heartless humans. Our hearts break every single day but we try our very best and live by the motto, ‘Every animal deserves a chance’.

In addition to our wonderful foster team, we also have amazing volunteers who will search day and night for missing pets, organise the sad recoveries of animals who are injured, sometimes fatally. Every day brings a new challenge but our efforts are rewarded with a grateful owner reunited with their missing family member, or a long suffering cat who can finally snuggle on a loving lap in their happy ever after home.

We are in desperate need of donations though. We rely solely on the kindness of the public so we can continue doing what we do. Scanning equipment and traps cost money. As does cat litter, food, worming and flea treatments, not to mention the £1000’s in veterinary bills every single month.

People ask me why I do this every year. I am not the fittest of people and have health issues myself. I spend the days following the marathon hobbling with joint pain but if it means that I can raise money to help Pippa’s Army with further rescues, then it is worth the ibruprofen!

Thankyou for your support! Our animals truly appreciate your kindness 🐾
