I've raised £100 to Vucjak Shelter through an extremely hard year, who are saving unwanted, injured and abandoned animals in Kragujevac, Serbia.

Story

I am currently running a total of 828 miles, around the Ring Road of Iceland, from my own home.

Back in February of this year, I took part in one of my most challenging distances ever, 90 miles across the length of Hadrians Wall, from my own living room to raise money for such a wonderful animal rescue centre in Serbia for the harsh winter months.

Sadly, times have only gotten worse for the shelter when their corrupt government and a horrible organization tried to set them up. Owner Dejan was wrongly arrested, the shelter was taken over and gates closed not allowing staff to care for the animals inside and all fundraising channels were seized.

Thankfully Dejan returned and all staff and animals have been reunited, however, they have had to start all over with their fundraising with the current avenues having all been permanently blocked. With once having over 4000 people donating monthly via Patreon, that number has plummeted and they are fighting to stay afloat.

As always new animals are constantly being found at the side of the road having been hit by cars or tied up in boxes and dumped at the shelter gate. They need help more than ever.

After my last fundraising attempt falling slightly short I said I would never do it again but I can't sit by and do nothing. I hope you can help and spare what you can, every little truly does help and is 100000% appreciated. As I write this I am over halfway into my 828 miles and hope to complete it by the end of November. Check out Vukjac Shelter below for more info. Thanks for reading.
