Bismillah Hir Rahman Nir Raheem

(In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Gracious)

In honour of the two men who meant so much to me, I am starting this Sadaqah Jariyah on behalf of both of my grandfathers.

Both of my grandfathers shaped so much of who I am today. They both taught me without ever sitting me down to teach me — through their actions, their patience, their sacrifices, and the way they always put others before themselves.

Growing up, I always saw my grandfathers giving — whether it was to charity, to those in need, or quietly helping someone without ever wanting recognition. Giving was just part of who they were. They never hesitated, never questioned it, they simply gave from the heart. They inspired me more than they will ever know. They may not be here to give the way they used to anymore, but I have no doubt that if they were still with us, they would continue giving just as generously as they always did. This is my small way of continuing what they loved to do so much. 🤍

“The best charity is giving water.” – Sunan Abi Dawud

The Prophet ﷺ told us that when a person passes away, their deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for them – Sahih Muslim

This is my small attempt to do something that continues for them. To give water to those who need it. Every sip taken, every wudu made, every life made easier — I pray that Allah allows that reward to reach my grandfathers and be a light for them in their graves.

This project will be carried out through the MATW Project, which has a 100% donation policy. I will share every update I receive once this has been done In Sha Allah.

O Allah, I give this Sadaqah Jariyah on behalf of my grandfathers. Accept it from me, forgive their shortcomings, widen their graves, and grant them the highest ranks in Jannah.
