    Story

As you all know our good friend lost his long valiant battle on the morning of Sat 30 Sep. Your messages of support in their multitude have brought a lot of comfort to Laura and their family over the past few days.

I was lucky enough to chat with Danny and discuss his wishes for his send off and to that end I have been given Laura's blessing to set certain wheels in motion. Danny's passing wish was to be repatriated and be surrounded by his family and friends. Field Gunners; Blue, Red and Green. Rugby players, shipmates, guys from the 'security days', RAF, Army, Navy, Marines and Civvies alike... Pretty much everyone who was lucky enough to have had him in their life.

Danny was a magnificent man, true, loving & caring. He was highly respected, had a huge heart, an indomitable spirit and was loyal to the end.

I know you would all like to see him come home so let's make it happen. In lieu of flowers please make a contribution through this page. It is our parting gift and show of loyalty to a great man and true friend.

All donations will go towards squaring away the Repatriation Agent & Funeral Directors on both sides of the Channel and allow us to get through the complicated procedure of repatriation with minimal stress and upheaval to Danny's family. Any and all funds left over will go to the PTSD charity that was close to both Danny and Laura's heart, PTSD Resolutions. http://www.ptsdresolution.org

Funeral arrangements will be announced as and when we have more information.
