Story

Danny has chosen to support two charities as part of his Barmitzvah.

Epic is a local UK charity which has had a significant impact on Danny's life in year 5 and 6 and beyond. It was through Epic that Danny was afforded the opportunity to represent the Borough of Kensington and Chelsea at an international football tournament in Antibes, France.

Through football he met boys of all different socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. Epic's mission is to inspire children and young people to achieve their potential and make a positive difference to the communities in which they work.

Secondly, Danny is supporting World Jewish Relief. WJR is the British Jewish community’s international humanitarian agency. WJR tackles poverty and crises among Jewish and non Jewish communities, primarily in the former Soviet Union, and reach beyond our community. WJR was responsible for the Kindertransport and is the organisation that helped many of Ingrid's relatives, including her paternal grandparents escape from Vienna Austria. Recently Ingrid received records from WJR detailing where they lived in London which coincidentally is around the corner from where we live.
