Hi everyone!

We're hoping you might be able to help us with a spot of fundraising. One of our oldest and closest friends Dan is currently battling an aggressive stage 4 brain tumour and needs to raise some cash to undergo specialist treatment not offered on the NHS.

Dan was first diagnosed with a brain tumour in early 2015 when he had a seizure while driving. He was taken straight to A&E where they found a 10cm tumour at the front of his brain. Within 2 weeks, he was given brain surgery and put on a 6 week course of radiotherapy which sent the cancer packing.

Unfortunately fast forward two years and 2 new tumours have developed. One at the original site and the other at the back of his head on the cerebellum, right by his brain stem, making it inoperable. The NHS have given him radiotherapy and chemotherapy, however he has been advised to seek alternative treatment at a specialist clinic in Istanbul which has an 80% remission rate.

This option however means he needs to raise £50,000, so he needs a lot of help from a lot of people to help to get him the treatment he needs.

So.. this is where we thought you lovely lot could get involved! We are planning to take part in a couple fundraising events in order to raise as much money as possible.

We've attached a photo of us from the old days. In a show of solidarity, and because we think everyone will pay good money to see just how hideous we'd look bald, we will be shaving our heads! If the idea of us looking like a poor man's Phil Mitchell appeals to you it would be fantastic if you could sponsor us!
