Danuil was born with a chromosome deletion, which has led to many other problems, physically, developmentally, mentaly and internally. he has cerebral palsey, microcephaely, two holes in heart, absent left kidney, global development delay, severe epilepsy, severe reflux. he is completely nil by mouth( having had his stomach tied off due help with refkux) and fed by a tube directly into his intestines. Danuil is a wheelchair user, with no verbal communication skills. however, his sense of humour, laugh and smile will lighten any room he enters.
He is sadly now blind in one eye, with a detached retina.
This year has been tough on him, he has already had 4 operations under general anaesthesia, with more planned.
We would like to take him to Disneyland Paris this Christmas for him to experience the magic around Christmas time with all the extra lights etc. To create special memories for him and his 3 younger siblings (5,7 and 9). They miss out on opportunites as his healthcare needs take president, and also his being in and out of hospitals means one or more parent is away.
As his health is deteriorating more rapidly, we want to be able to make this dream holiday family break happen before it is too late, so that magical memories of good times can be made instead of just remebering all the stress of constant hospital visits etc.
the money would cover 3 nights at the cheapest Disney hotel with a suitable wheelchair adapted room(sequoia lodge 3*). travel will be driving so will cover cost of fuel and ferry. will be driving due to amount of medical equipment and feed we will need to bring, (and fact some medications need temperature control, which cannot be garunteed otherwise).this amount of luggage will be too much for other forms of travel.
