Weʼve raised £10,943 to Help to get Dan home. Dan was a free spirit, an adventurer, always happy and he lived one hundred lifetimes in his short life.

Story
Dan was the eternal traveller who lived his life to the full.
He achieved so many goals in his short life eventually working in his dream job as a dive instructor at Whitsunday Island on the Apollo Scooner exploring the Great Barrier Reef every day in Queensland Australia, sharing his love and passion for the ocean.
Dan would think nothing of packing up and moving countries to find his next adventure and he made amazing life long friends where ever he went. What his friends may not have known is that he missed his home and family so much and would often get upset in his weekly calls to his Mam, telling her he needed a hug. He was so proud to tell people he came from the beautiful cathedral city of Durham and loved the cold weather when he did come home.
His family are heart broken to have lost their 'shining light' and would love your help to bring him home to his Mam We were so privileged to have had Dan in our lives, we will never forget him.
We have no idea how much we need to raise and the website made us put in a definite figure, so any donations you can give would be appreciated.

5 years agoDan's family would like to warmly invite his friends to Durham Crematorium on Monday 28th January 2019 at 11:30am. Then for refreshments after the service to The Prison Officer's Club, Durham to celebrate Daniel's life ❤️💙🧡💚 Thank you again for your kind words and generosity, thanks to you he's coming home x Feel free to come as you are. 5 years agoWe can't put into words how grateful we are to you all for your heartfelt tributes and generosity. You truly have done Dan proud. He's one in a million and we were blessed to have him as part of our family. We have started making plans to bring Dan home but this is a lengthy process. We will update you as and when we can. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. He's coming home x

I didn't know Dan but my daughter Louise did. They shared chats and laughs with all his other friends. I felt so sad to hear of a young life cut so short. My thoughts are with you and all the family..
