Bismillah

Since 2011, the ongoing conflict in Syria has resulted in more than 200,000 deaths and caused more than half of the country's 22 million citizens to flee their homes to neighboring countries and nearly 7.4 million people are displaced internally within Syria. With each day passing, we are saddened to see the situation of the Syrian people go from bad to worse. There is lack of food in many areas today because access to food has become a weapon of war in Syria where breadlines and bakeries is until today intentionally targeted in cities. Because of this, seeds, wheat and bread have been at the heart of the conflict.

This does not only create a food crisis but also a livelihood crisis which leads to many people fleeing their areas. Recognising bread as Syria's staple food, our aim with this project is to support agriculture by setting up bakeries to remedy food scarcity in villages and in this way create some form of self-sufficiency to contribute in maintaining that people stay in their areas. please contribute with whatever you can so that we can fund and set up a bakery that will provide food for residents in a civilian area.

"Behold! You are those who are called to spend in the Cause of Allah, yet among you are some who are niggardly. And whoever is niggardly, it is only at the expense of his ownself. But Allah is Rich (Free of all wants), and you (mankind) are poor. And if you turn away (from Islam and the obedience of Allah), He will exchange you for some other people, and they will not be your likes." [47:38]

Most of us don't need to worry of food shortage. Allah provides with so much that most of us don't ever worry of starving. Know that just becaus Allah provides us with food, comfort and safety it doesn't mean that Allah has favoured us more than the less fortunate. It's only a trial! So dig deep and spend, spend for your akhirah!
