Iʼve raised £1,150 to help Dara give out 40 blessing bags and 40 duvets to homeless people this Christmas.

Story
Dara has always had a passion to help homeless people and would always ask that she gives money to homeless people on the streets.
When she was 6 years old, Dara came up with the idea of giving the homeless not only money but supplies to help them a little bit more comfortable. So with the help of her parents Dara would buy items such as socks, gloves, hats, tooth paste, toothbrushes, sanitary towels etc packed in bags and then given out to people on the streets.
This year, as she turns 9 in December, she would like to give out 40 blessing bags as well as duvets to homeless people to help them have a better and warmer christmas. Each blessing bag (now packed in her specially made reusable bags) cost £5 and each single duvet £7. And so she appreciate your help in making this a reality as she gives out 40 bags and 40 duvets this christmas.

7 years agoWe can’t even begin to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone of you who have made Dara’s Christmas outreach to the homeless possible. In just two weeks, you’ve helped her raise well over 200% of her target. Thanks to you, things have been very busy in the ‘caregirl quarters’. We’ve been distributing blessing bags and sleeping bags. We were at Southend over the weekend. and it’s been such a joy! Dara has been documenting her journey on her blog which you can read on her website caregirl.org Thank you and God bless you.

7 years agoThank you so very much for your generosity towards Dara’s Christmas outreach to the homeless. It’s overwhelming that she has raised over and beyond the target. She is super excited and grateful. We initially wanted to get duvets but later realised sleeping bags would be much more useful. Thanks to your generous donations, we have been able to get sleeping bags too. We’ve also got toiletries, hats, gloves and socks and snacks which we’ve started distributing. Every blessing to you and yours this Christmas.
