Darcey has Global Develpoment, which means she currently has the mental age of a two year but is almost 5. Darcey has a very limited vocabulary which makes her very frustrated as she can‘t express herself. Last November we found out her brain has not fully developed which we are still trying to find out how this effects her In the long term.

Darcey stuggles to react to situations that can cause her to fall over and hurt herself, because her brain cant process the situation quick enough.

We have taken Darcey for the last two years to the Footsteps foundation which uses specialst equipment and skilled staff to help Darcey strengthen her core muscles but also teach her how to use her life saving skills i.e put her hands out to soften her fall which she struggles to do. As she gets older she can handler longer seasions but these also become more expensive.
