Story
Myself, Alex and Atlanta have signed up to the Swansea bay 10k run. We have decided to set up a go fund me page to raise money for the Ty Olwyn trust. We have chosen the Ty Olwyn trust as it has impacted personally on my life and many others and is something we all feel is close to home. We have all witnessed and seen first hand how their specialised team of medical professions and care assistants make such a difference to their patients, and patients family and friends whilst they experience the emotional roller coaster of watching someone go through the traumatic experience of Cancer, and other life threatening and life limiting diseases. The Ty Owlyn hospice support people by making the last few months, weeks or days of someone's life as pain free and comfortable as they can.
The Ty Olwyn hospice is a specialist palliative care unit in the Morriston hospital grounds. The Ty Olwyn trust needs to raise at least £450,000 a year and at least 95p of every £1 raised is given directly to patient care. By doing this run we hope to raise some money and support the trust as best as we can. Any donations will be greatly appreciated x
