Story
My name is Daria Bitsiuk and I am a Ukrainian musician. I have lived in the UK for 14 years now. The war in my beautiful country has been going on for more than two years, affecting all of us, but especially those living in Ukraine. Despite an amazing global support, our cities are still being bombed every day, and my parents and family live with the sound of sirens each day, falling asleep not knowing if there will be a tomorrow. I am lucky to live in London, but my relatives are back at home, fighting for the truth and freedom. I have lost close friends in the war.
After two years of a brutal invasion of Ukraine by Russia, support me in raising £2000 towards humanitarian demining in Ukraine. The area of mined territory in Ukraine is increasing daily. It will take years to clear it of mines. Children and farmers die from mines every day, so it is critical that we take action now to clear these mines.
I will run my first marathon in Milan on the 7th April and I shall run thinking about my beautiful country, and hoping for a peaceful blue sky above Ukraine and its people.
Let us raise funds for this cause together! If you donate money you can actively show your support and empathy for Ukraine, democracy and the peoples of a free country!
After completing my first marathon, I will donate 100% of all raised funds to United24 Humanitarian Demining: a governmental initiative endorsed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and American actor Misha Collins.
Slava Ukraine and its heroes!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
