Story

I'm raising £8,499 for a new lay down hyperbaric oxygen chamber for jackson. Jackson can no longer sit up safely.

I'm raising £8,499 to go towards a lay down hyperbaric oxygen chamber for my terminally ill son Jackson.

Walking from SWINDON TO SOUTHAMPTON 3 days (82 miles)

On Thursday 14th May 2026 me (Jackson's dad ) mark (Jackson's uncle ) Steve (Jackson's grandad) and Craig (a good friend) will be heading to Swindon to start the walk. We will be walking past the Avebury henge, Stonehenge, Salisbury plains and into Southampton

.

Jackson was born a healthy child but just after his first birthday, Jackson one day out of the blue stopped using his left arm.

We took Jackson to our local hospital, after a few weeks of tests Jackson was diagnosed with with a very rare terminal disease called

"Krabbe" disease. Only 1 child a year in the uk is born with Krabbe disease. We where then told that it was unlikely that jackson would reach his 2nd birthday and that he will loose all key skills, and most likely loose his hearing, sight and will have seizures.

As a family we desperately looked into treatments and we found that hyperbaric oxygen therapy really helps.

The problem was is Jackson’s secretions have become a bit too much for him, so Jackson will need to lay down whilst being in the chamber.

Well Jackson is living proof of this-

Jackson is now 11years old,

Although Jackson can't, walk, talk and fed through a tube, but because of the chamber he hasnt had a seizure in years Jackson does have lots of health issues, but hes still a very happy boy (thanks to the benefits of the hyperbaric oxygen chamber) and loves his mummy and daddy cuddles.
