Story

Just after Jacksons first birthday in August 2015 he was diagnosed with early infantile Krabbes disease. Jackson, like other babies with Krabbes was born apparently healthy and hit all the normal milestones that you expect in the first 6 months of life with no sign that anything was wrong. It was shortly after this time that the condition started to take hold, and he began to gradually lose key skills. Krabbes is classed as a rare disease effecting 1 in 100,000, it is often misdiagnosed. Unfortunately there is no cure for Krabbes and there is no medical intervention that can prolong Jacksons life. Most babies with this condition become angels some time around their second birthday. Before this time, Jacksons muscles will continue to weaken, affecting his ability to move, chew, swallow, and breathe. There is also a possibility that he will experience vision loss and seizures.
