Story
It is with great sadness that we announce that Darren Kaye lost his long term battle with cancer over the weekend.
Darren was 49 years old, married with a 14 year old son, 23 year old step-daughter and 3 grandchildren.
Darren fought an incredible 11 year battle with cancer, showing strength and determination throughout. He overcame being wheel-chair bound through paralysis in 2009 to complete a sponsored walk of the London Marathon route just 18 months later, but in January 2013, he was diagnosed with 3 inoperable brain tumours and given just a 3-6 month prognosis, which he ignored and continued to live life to the full, travelling with family to visit his sister in Australia and buying a Harley-Davidson on his return the UK!!
Before his illness, Darren was a fitness fanatic, training daily, and winner of many dead lift competitions. Prior to his illness he was head of IT & innovation for Nando’s UK and also worked throughout the USA and the Caribbean. He loved to travel and loved Spurs.
Above all else, Darren was a Dad, by far the most important thing to him.
Many of you have asked how you can show your respects for Darren, so we have set up this page, where all monies raised will go to support Darren’s son at this difficult time.
