Story
Smart Young People 1st: Independent Young People’s Advocacy Forum
The pilot project for 14-21year olds with Learning Disabilities, Autism has been funded until March 2018 by Bradford Council Children Services and Transition teams. We are therefore requiring funding for this project to develop and continue it. The new project will additionally work with people with mental health issues and will build on its successes of its pilot period and transform into two tiers. The pilot has 9 people each month and has had a diverse age range. The new project would see one cohort of 14 to 16-year olds and another of 16 to 21 year olds. This will enable more targeted work and greater linkage to other services such as the job centre for the 16 to 21-year olds, Educational Psychologists and CAMHS for the 14 to 16 year olds. This new project will have a session per week for the two age groups.
