As a result of the pandemic (Covid-19) and the protracted period of lockdown, Alexandra, along with many other children, suffered from a lack of social enteraction. Post lockdowns, for Alexandra, brought about a new found interest in swimming, which helped her to reconect socially. She was provided with the opportinity to develope within the sport by St Felix School Swimming Club, who opperate as a charity. They are provided with some funding by the school, but largely rely on outside funding sources and fund raising events. As such, Alexandra is hoping to raise money for her swimming club. This will allow the club to provide ongoing support to other children in the same way it supported her when she was in need of it.
