Story

On the morning of the 3rd of December 2019 Police Constable Darren Triggs, aged 36 years and a serving Sussex Officer of 14 years, tragically suffered from a blood clot in his spine causing him to be paralysed from the chest down. Sadly the Surgeon that tried to save Darren’s mobility has stated Darren will never walk again. This has changed Darren’s ability to care for his children in the way he wanted to with a sad realisation he himself will need on going care/support.

Originally a ride was planned for June 2020 from London to Paris, The pandemic meant this was impossible to achieve but finally this September friends and colleagues of PC Darren Triggs will be riding their bikes from Lands End to Chichester to raise money and support for a well respected and liked officer. Darren has returned to work but is still unable to access his garden at home so is unable to enjoy this space with his much loved family.

Darren and his family will receive all money raised through this page to help and support them and assist in funding the work to adapt the garden so Darren can once again get out and play with his children.
