I've raised £500 to explore stem cell therapy for Darwin's arthritis.

Hi, my name's Darwin and I'm 8 and a half years old. I want to explore stem cell therapy for my arthritis in my remaining front leg - but I can't do it alone! It's expensive stuff (approx £2000) and the insurers won't pay. My meds and hydro alone are over £200 a month, but come on...6yrs of beating bone cancer, I can't give up now!
(Read my story below)
I've led an amazingly happy life despite going through some arduos times and with your help I'm hoping those happy memories will continue to be built on for many years to come!
When I was 18 months I began limping.. The vets advised rest, but I soon began limping again and this time was prescribed anti-inflammatories . For 6 months I was doing ok, until boxing day 2011 when I just couldn't put any weight on my front right leg. I had xrays and and was referred to pride veterinary hospital.
The vet could see a huge growth in the bone and suggested an mri and bone biopsy to confirm what he suspected was osteoscarcoma...bone cancer. The tests were inconclusive but he knew that it could only be the cancer and told mum he needed to amputate. Everyone advised her to put me to sleep. They said a 3 legged dog wouldn't have a good quality of life...but she refused to give up on me!
I had the amputation and was told that even with chemotherapy I had 12-18 months to live.
My leg bone was disintegrated when they analysed it but my lungs were clear of metastases and so my treatment began.
7 rounds of carboplatin chemo and 7 rounds of blood testing.
Osteoscarcoma is one of the most aggressive forms of cancer a dog can get. The younger the dog then the more aggressive the cancer. 2% of dogs are alive 2yrs after diagnosis.
I kicked ass! It'll be 6yrs since diagnosis on Feb 20th 2018. My lungs are clear. My organs are strong!
However, on Monday 6th November 2017 I couldn't stand up. My leg, it seemed, was failing me and the vets gave mum 'the talk'. I had xrays. They all thought the cancer was back.
They were wrong! I kicked ass again! I now have arthritis and need your help to fund my ongoing recovery!
