Prestatyn Town are a fantastic community football club which has encountered a major problem.
It needs to pay an outstanding bill of £53,000 to HMRC by November 24 or will go bankrupt.
The club disputes the amount owed, and has been given no installments option, but in the meantime extensive fund-raising is planned to raise the amount needed.
One such event is a sponsored walk from Flint to Prestatyn on November 26 where myself, and a group of PTFC supporters, will walk the 16-mile distance from where the team's opponents that day are based to Town's own Bastion Gardens to raise money for the cause.
Prestatyn will then play Flint that afternoon in the Huws Gray Alliance League.
PTFC is a wonderful club which has given so much to its community.
It has made stunning strides on the field over the past 10 years to rise from the third-tier of Welsh football to the top-flight and also win the Welsh Cup and win in Europe.
The club also provides endless opportunities for local youngsters to progress in the game.
