Story

Hi, my name is Sam Wilson on the 29th of September i cycled the south downs way in a day, this is 100 miles and took 20 hours, I am raising money because in October halve term a group of about 25 students and five teachers will visit Swaziland (eSwatini). eSwatini with a GDP per capita of $9,714, is classified as a country with a lower-middle income. However it is plagued with aids and has the highest percentage of people with aids, which is 27%. Resulting in the life expectancy being 49 years old. The primary goal is to dig a trench through the rock hard mud to lay a pipe, which allows water to run through the school. To hit the water table we need to invest in an expensive drill to penetrate the water source which can be 50+ meters below the surface. By the end of the week we will hope to see running water. This running water allows the school to be able to cook, clean and provide a better sanitation for their students. Once the water pipe is installed we will focus on replacing windows, painting class rooms and general repairs. To afford the drill, supplies, tools and repairs for the trip I will need to raise a minimum of £400. Although, I am hoping to smash this goal and bring extra funds for the school to invest into a better education.
