Dave Friskney is a Sheffield legend. An all round musician who's inspired many many more, and touched and enlightened the lives of a whole community.

He's dedicated his already long life to educating musicians and entertaining us all - battling through adversity, including a (thankfully temporarily) disabling stroke to do so.

After seven years playing for and building the community at Wortley we learned that this is to come to an end now.

"Don't leave me this way!" says the song. It takes time to build up new relationships and community. Thankfully we've lined up a new residency for Dave in the new year, a new start...

But let's keep things going between now and then, keep the musical fires burning and thank Dave for his music and friendship over these many years while helping him to bridge the gap into the new year!
