I've raised £2500 to Support Dave Mackay & his family as he battles with MSA

Many of you will be aware that our friend and colleague Dave Mackay left Aramark back in the early part of 2018. Dave worked tirelessly for Aramark for over 25 years and was the longest serving Director of Operations in the UK.
Over the years Dave worked with practically everybody in the organisation and was always cheerful, resilient and incredibly committed. In 2014 he was awarded the Aramark Ring of Stars award for exemplary performance and flew to the US to a special event for the Ring of Stars winners from around the world.
Dave was massively focused on his team, his clients and delivering on his commitments to the company. Working most of his time in the Defence sector he was widely known throughout the Armed Forces and the wider Ministry of Defence team but was always quick to support any part of the business.
In late 2016 Dave developed Ataxia - a group of disorders that affect coordination, balance and speech. Despite battling with the condition whilst still working he ultimately left the company.
Dave continues to try and live his life each day cared for by his Wife Jacky, Daughter Kirsty and Son Scott along with his wider family. It is however fair to say that it is far from easy and the Covid-19 lockdown has made things much harder.
To show our support, friendship and solidarity we are crowdfunding donations for the family directly and the MSA Trust.
The MSA Trust is the UK and the Republic of Ireland’s leading charity supporting people affected by multiple system atrophy (MSA).
If you would like to support “Our Friend Dave” by completing some activity and seeking sponsorship or just giving even a small amount directly it would be very much appreciated.
We are striving to achieve our goal of raising £5,000 and ideally would like you to split your donation between two funding pages. Our apologies for the extra few minutes this may take. However, it allows to us to help Dave and his family directly, whilst also still collecting Gift Aid on any donations to the MSA Trust.
If you wish to donate directly to Dave and his family to help support them, please donate on this site. Any funds raised will be paid directly to the family and will be used to fund some short holidays for them, any equipment required or anything else at their sole discretion.

If you would also like to participate in creating a positive and supportive video message that we are going to send to Dave please send a video clip (in landscape), photos or a personalised message to dmstories2020@gmail.com
Our thanks for your time and let us do all that we can to support MSA sufferers everywhere and Dave, Jacky and their family.
Please share this activity with your own social network so we can reach as many people who know Dave as possible.
Our thanks!
