https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jj1o_l9xor0

Parking is limited so please share lifts where possible. If the weather is dry there will be additional parking at the football club.

The Castle Hotel Pub will be open for drinks and snack etc from 11:00am The Old White Lion Pub will be open for drinks / hot / cold food from 10:00am There are also toilets located in the hall by St Disens church.

The funeral will be followed by a wake at Taunton RFC Veritas Park, Hyde Lane, Taunton TA2 8BU. For anyone who would rather avoid any crowds at the church, the funeral will also be live streamed at the rugby club.

There will also be a Memorial service at the Cathedral in Gloucester on the 18th of May at 13:30 before moving onto Gloucester RFC.

Due to Dave's view on suits at funerals, anyone who attends is very welcome / encouraged to wear a rugby jersey or dress to impress avoiding the colour black.

Dave passed away far to soon, on the 19th of March 2022 at the age of just 52.

He leaves behind his wife and soul mate Jill, and his much loved boys Nathaniel, Josh and Anthony, as well as many more family and friends.

It’s hard to put into words the impact that Dave has had on those around him. Dave was a loving husband, father, International rugby player and all around great man.

Known to many of us as R dad, he was a true gentleman, nothing was ever to much trouble and he had an uncanny knack of getting the best out of those around him, both on and off the field. If you were lucky enough to have met Dave, then you were lucky enough to have made a new friend.

Husband, Father, True Friend, RIP R Dad xxx

Legends like Dave Sims don’t come around any where near often enough. Due to him being taken so suddenly, the page has been set up to help support Jill and the boys, and make sure R Dad gets the send off he deserves.
