Story
After a life changing event I am left unable to access work. After 20 years of working as a teacher here and abroad (Thailand and NZ), volunteer work in Cambodia and Vietnam.
I now have restricted mobility(Critical care neuropathy) and a voice problem due to complications for my stay in ICU, whilst in a coma.
My brain and optimism has not changed thankfully.
I have decided to go back to university whilst I go through rehabilitation. Due to not being in the country for 2 years out of 27, I am not entitled to benefits. I have decided the do an MA and a PhD in the engagement of young people.
So, as the ever-optimist that I am, I thought of Crowdfunding as a way forward.
The PhD is a 4-year study and I will be funding this year (The MA) through savings and a student loan.
