I've raised £2500 to Help buy an electric all terrain wheelchair for David so that he can access the beach and other areas that we take for granted.

David Allen's all terrain electric wheelchair David was once a happy young family man. He loved his children and has always wanted to play a full part in their lives. David did and still does love his home football team of Stoke City. He always had the most crazy sense of humour and loved to make everyone around him happy, especially his children. He enjoyed the physical side to being a daddy. Playing in the park, going on walks and playing on the beach.
Unfortunately on 10th October 2018, David's life and that of his children and wider family was changed forever. David became the victim of a brutal knife attack. David was left fighting for his life.
After just over 6 months in hospital, David was able to come home. However, things would never be the same for any of us again.
David now uses a wheelchair when he leaves the house. He has problems communicating and has regular seizures.
David's life has changed so much, but one thing has not, his love for his children. David still wants to play on the beach with them and go for walks. He has kept his crazy sense of humour and his love of Stoke City FC.
Unfortunately now, David is unable to go on the beach anymore with his children and he is unable to access many of the walks he used to go on with them.
This is where we are asking for your help. David is lucky enough to have an NHS wheelchair, however, it is not suitable to be taken on the local beach or for us to push him in it on our walks. For David to be able to join in with his family and to be a part of making new memories for his young children, David requires an electric all terrain wheelchair. These specialist chairs are not available on the NHS.
We hope to be able to raise £2500.00 to go towards the cost of the wheelchair for David. This wheelchair will not give David his life back, but it will help him to be once again involved in his children's outdoor fun and memory making.
