I am looking to provide a free taxi service to visitors of a speacialit ward. The ward is for young onset dementia. Some parents are in theire 80s catching a number of busses to and from the unit travelling hours.
We hear so much about dementia and always worry about our parents, however these parents struggle to get back and forth and spend a lot of time worrying their son or daughter will forget them. I want to pick them up three evenings a week and on weekends to help them mannage an have someone to talk to on the trip home rather than being upset and sad on the bus.
I hope i can achieve this with your help.

I have worked in health and social care for a very long time I have a BSG degree in social care. I learned so much about the devestating effects for families but nothing about young onset dementia. It seems such a cruel irony for these older people to worry for that the person.
