We are the only Professional Drugs Agency within the UK that deals solely with OTC Addictions- mainly codeine based Painkillers. Despite receiving a very kind Donation last November, we have run out of Funds due to an extremely high number of new Clients contacting us following the Christmas Holiday period- 420 at 10th January with more contacting us on a daily basis. Some are almost suicidal and desperate for help and advice. It costs Over-Count £1.80 to respond to each new Referral, and we just haven't got the Funds to do this. Our current Client Account Balance is under £5.00. We cannot get any Public or Private Sector Funding or Grant Aid, as we are considered to 'discriminate' against other forms of Addiction, such as for Heroin or Alcohol, because we specialise only in helping Over-the-Counter, Non-Prescription Drug Misusers, and therefore their Funding rules exclude us from even applying. Honestly !!. Crowdfunding is the only way we can appeal for Funds to allow us to continue our Free and Confidential Services. Over-Count was founded back in August, 1993, and has helped over 90,000 Clients since then. We must have saved countless lives over the years. Every Penny we receive is used wholly for the benefit of our new and existing Clients- Absolutely NOTHING is deducted for salaries, administration, expenses, etc. I run Over-Count as the Project Manager, on a voluntary, unpaid basis.
